USTB International Student Wu Qiu Wins Bronze Medal at 2016 Chinese Foreign Language Conference

Held from June 28 to July 23, the "Chinese Bridge" 2016 Global Foreign Chinese Conference Finals was held in Beijing. After the fierce competition, USTB international student Wu Qiu won the "Chinese Bridge" 2016 Global Foreigners Chinese Conference Group bronze medal. International Office representative Guo Kailin accompanied the students.

         Through the competition students learn Chinese and local culture, engage in competition, and learn to appreciate more the history of China.

         “Chinese Bridge” is a large-scale cultural program hosted jointly by the Confucius Institute/Hanban and CCTV, and is now in its sixth iteration. 72 contestants from Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Dalian, Chengdu, Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Australia participated in the finals. The Chinese Conference is held to inspire competitiveness, intellectual curiosity, learning culture and engaging in performance of Chinese culture

         The competition will be aired on CCTV-4 international channel every Saturday night starting June 30, stayed tuned.
