USTB Signs to Cooperate with Saudi Arabia

On May 5^th, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China held its second annual reception for Chinese universities. USTB President Zhang Xinxin attended the reception and reached a cooperation agreement with the Embassy.

President Zhang had a friendly conversation with Mr. Saleh I. Alqasoumi, cultural counsellor at the Embassy, and signed an educational cooperation agreement with the culture section of the Embassy. In accordance with the agreement, USTB will cooperate closely with the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the education of Saudi Arabian students studying in China.    

The reception was held with the aim of raising Chinese universities’ attention to Saudi Arabian overseas students and strengthening the students’ connection with the universities. It also facilitated future academic and cultural communications between China and Saudi Arabia.    

Representatives from the Division of International Students Affairs of China Scholarship Council, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and 37 universities across the country were also present at the reception.
