Rolling Up Your Sleeves for the New Semester: International Student Center Provides Tips for Success

The beginning of the new semester at USTB is full of life, while its students start their new courses with passion and vigor, eager to start off on the right foot. To assist them, the International Student Center provided educational activities to help the students get prepared and motivated.

         The International Student Center attaches get importance to seeing that students return from their winter holiday prepared for their classes, and took steps to help ensure their success. Amongst the Center’s goals were to see that students were registered and handled accordingly, that students were presented with up to date safety information, as well that overall management services be improved. Finally, as always, the office wishes to ensure the promotion and further support of international students.

         In order to ensure students success from the start, a session was held where leaders from the International Students Center were careful to promote the importance of regular, followed by outlining the requirements and standards expected for each course. Students were explained various importance aspects of the university, including rules and regulations, legal and security information for visas, drugs, fire, traffic, etc. Case studies were provided to help further impress the importance of each topic. Finally, in order to fully understand the students’ situation, the group discussed topics and concerns regarding dormitory living, health, and overall development.
