USTB Focuses World’s Attention on Paste Backfill

On Nov. 5th, 2013, the 1stInternational Symposium on Paste Backfill co-hosted by the Paste Fill Mining Research Center (USTB) and the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education of China for Efficient Mining and the Safety of Metal Mines (USTB) was held at the Xijiao Hotel. More than three hundred scholars and experts from relevant domestic and foreign scientific research institutions, design institutes, colleges, universities and mine enterprises gathered together at the symposium to discuss topics including the theories, techniques and applications of paste filling.
Centering on paste, paste-like and high concentration filling, the symposium adhered to paste fill mining and paste tailing disposal as two general themes. With the concentration, preparation and transportation of paste filling, system design and case analysis all included, it demonstrated the latest achievements and experiences in both theoretical research and practical applications.
