First Kyushu Institute of Technology Alumni Meeting Held at USTB
On March 16, 2015, the first Kyushu Institute of Technology alumni of Beijing meeting was held at USTB’s International Office.
Vice-president Otabe Edmund Soji expressed his happiness to be visiting USTB and meet so many alumni. One of the main reasons USTB was chosen to host the meeting is because many distinguished and accomplished alumni now work at USTB, to whom Vice-president Kotabe gave his congratulations for their achievements. He then went on to thank the alumni for making the partnership between USTB and Kyushu Institute of Technology possible and for their contributions to joint-projects, and he expressed his hope that the two universities would continue to build stronger and deeper ties in the future.
At the meeting the participants elected USTB professor Wang Qunhui of the School of Civil and Environment Engineering to join the Kyushu Institute of Technology alumni association. They concluded by promising to increase communication and cooperation between the two universities.
