University of Portsmouth visits USTB

On Oct. 24th, 2012, Prof. John Craven, President of the University of Portsmouth, led a delegation of his colleagues to USTB.  Prof. Xu Jinwu, President of USTB, and Prof. Huang Weijiu, Assistant President of USTB, met with the delegates.

Extending a warm reception, Prof. Xu introduced the delegates to the history of USTB, of its notable faculty and staff, and its scientific achievements, with an emphasis on USTB’s current international cooperation and communication programs. In exchange, Prof. Craven gave his hosts an introduction of the strengths and characteristics of the University of Portsmouth, which was followed by a discussion between both sides over methods to initiate more substantial cooperation, especially with regards to exchange programs of students and faculty.
