University of Lorraine Delegation Visited USTB
On July 14 College of Engineering’s dean Mostafa Fourar from University of Lorraine visited USTB with a five-person delegation. The visit was intended for the two schools to discuss issues concerning mechanical engineering, electronics and computer science, research, and potential teacher and student exchanges. They were met by President Zhang Xinxin, Director of the International Office Guo Kanjun, and Deputy Director of the School of Mechanical Engineering Zhang Jie.
President Zhang gave a presentation on USTB, describing its work and how it has engaged in cooperation of over 150 universities and institutions around the world, including other French universities. Prof. Fourar spoke about how his school attaches great importance to the cultivation of students’ talents, encouraging overseas internships, and expressed his hope that the two schools would be able to build a cooperative relationship in the future. Both sides agreed to promote deeper collaboration in order to best benefits students.
Prior to the meeting Prof. Fourar visited the USTB history museum and laboratories of the School of Mechanical Engineering.
