USTB Holds International Symposium for Metallurgical Equipment

On Dec. 6th, the 2013 International Symposium on Fault Diagnosis and Strip Quality Measurement and Control Technology was held atUSTB, marking the establishment of the Fault Diagnosis Academic Committee under the Branch of Metallurgical Equipment of the Chinese Society for Metals. Under the theme of “The Future of Metallurgical Equipment: Precision, Quality and Reliability”, this year’s symposium was designed to explore new technologies for fault diagnosis, strip quality measurement and control of metallurgical equipment, setting directions for future development in the field. The symposium is expected to serve as a platform for experts, researchers and graduate students to exchange ideas about the latest developmentsin fault diagnosis technology for metallurgical equipment.
It being anunprecedented event in China, this symposium attracted a multitude of top-ranking Chinese,Canadian and German experts and scholars, who came together to discussnew achievements in this field and make plans for the future. The event promoted the exchange of the fault diagnosis technology for metallurgical equipment, improved China’s capability to developindependent innovation inthe metallurgical industry, and will exert a far-reaching influence on the iron and steel industry as a whole.
