De Montfort Delegation Visits USTB

On May 9th, a delegation led by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Humanities for De Montfort University visited USTB. Prof. Guo Kanjun, Vice Director of the International Office, met with the delegation. The parties discussed expanding the mandate of the Confucius Institute, allowing for it to carry out more cooperative projects, including efforts to enhance lines of communication between teachers from both universities and joint student training initiatives.

After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to the School of Foreign Studies (SFS) where they were received by Prof. Peng Yi and Prof. Zhang Jingyuan, deans of the SFS. They deliberated over issues about language training cooperation and visited the multimedia classroom for foreign language teaching. In their visit to the School of Mechanical Engineering (SME), the delegation met with Prof. Tao Jin, Dean of the Department of Industrial Design, and expressed their views about the department and its achievements.
