USTB International Student Wu Qiu Wins Bronze Medal at 2016 Chinese Foreign Language Conference

“Chinese Bridge”, the 2016 Chinese Foreign Language Conference held from July 30-October 4, was aired on the CCTV Chinese International channel (CCTV-4). After fierce competition, USTB international student Wu Qiu from Bangladesh won the bronze medal in the team competition. Guo Kailin of the USTB International Office led the students at the competition.

         During the competition, students from USTB and many other schools participated in learning and demonstrating their mastery of Chinese language and culture.

         “Chinese Bridge” is a large-scale cultural program hosted jointly by the Confucius Institute/Hanban and CCTV, and is now in its sixth iteration. 72 contestants from Beijing, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Dalian, Chengdu, Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Australia participated in the finals. The Chinese Conference is held to inspire competitiveness, intellectual curiosity, learning culture and engaging in performance of Chinese culture.
