USTB approved for New National "Innovative Talents International Cooperation Training Project"

 

Recently, the National Study Fund Management Committee announced the list of 2017 "Innovative Talent International Cooperation Project" funded projects. One project was the one between USTB and Birmingham University, with the project dedicated to "energy and environment functional materials innovation and talent cultivation”.

         The first phase of the "energy and environment functional materials innovation and talent cultivation project” was last three years. Selected majors will include thermal science and energy engineering, environmental engineering, allowing for 8 students per year for joint doctoral training.

         The "International Talent Training Program for Innovative Talents" was established by the China Scholarship Council in line with the national strategy coinciding with educational reform of promoting innovation and training new talents for important and necessary fields. In recent years USTB has adhered to the goal of promoting international cooperation through the integration of the overall national strategy. This has included working closely with foreign universities and research groups, designing research opportunities to improve students innovativeness and competitiveness, all in order to meet the country’s need for future high-class students.

         As of now, USTB has had two projects chosen to be part of the "Innovative Talent International Cooperation Project" program.
