USTB among the First Demonstration Bases of Education for Overseas Students

To carry out the National Medium and Long-term Educational Reform and Development Plan (2010-2020) and the 100,000 Strong Initiative, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education launched a project to award universities who excelled in the education of overseas students.

Based on parameters including the size, structure and the speed of development of overseas students in the last three years, 22 universities under the Ministry of Education and 16 under local authorities were honoured. USTBreceived the distinctionwith Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University and Xiamen University.

With the goal of raising the quality of education provided to overseas students, this project required schools to demonstrate outstanding efforts in innovation and the education of overseas students. The purpose of the government instituted plans is to encourage advancement in the field of education for internationalstudents.
