On April 8th, 2013, Prof. Kalaya, Vice-President of Chulalongkorn University visited USTB. Prof. Luo Weidong, Chancellor of USTB, and Prof. Wang Ge, Director of the International Office of USTB, met with the delegates.

Extending his warmest welcome, Chancellor Luo briefly introduced to the delegation the history, disciplines, and research projects of USTB. USTB maintains a high level of achievement in the fields of science and engineering, especially in materials, metallurgical sciences, physics and chemistry. It is in these areas that USTB hopes to develop collaborative efforts with Chulalongkorn University. However, the chancellor also noted that both schools could cooperate on studies of the arts as well.
