USTB Signs Collaborative Agreement with National Taipei University

On the afternoon for June 29, President Lin Daotong of National Taipei University visited USTB and was welcomed by USTB President Zhang Xinxin. Also in attendance at the meeting were Secretary Zhao Yu of the School of Grammar, Secretary Li Qing of the School of Automation, and Director Guo Kanjun of the International Office.

During the meeting both sides gave overviews of their respective schools and their strengths, and then discussed possibilities for collaboration in a number of areas including joint research. Both sides agreed there are many opportunities to work together in several fields.

Afterwards the two presidents signed an inter-university cooperative agreement, which would serve as a starting point for future collaborative efforts.

National Taipei University, formerly known as the College of Law and Business, National Chung Hsing University, was originally founded in 1949 and reorganized into the current university in 2000. It is one of Taiwan’s top universities in the areas of law, social science, business, and public administration. It has placed in the top three universities for the social sciences in Taiwan.
