On October 28th, Tea Varrak, vice rector of Tallinn University of Technology brought a delegation to USTB. Prof. Zhang Xinxin, president of USTB and Prof. Wang Ge, assistant to the president, met with the delegation.
President Zhang welcomed the delegation and gave a brief introduction on the history of USTB and its achievements in talent training, teaching, and scientific research, especially its latest developments in exchange and cooperation with other countries and regions. Believing engaging globally as a significant channel for leapfrog development, USTB, according to President Zhang, attached great importance to pragmatic cooperation programs with foreign universities. Now, USTB has cooperated and formed partnerships with more than 140 well-known universities.
In return for the hospitality of USTB, vice rector Tea Varrak gave an overview of Tallinn University of Technology. The university hosts a very popular center called Innovation and Business Center (Mektory). The aim of Mektory is to bring together scientists, students and entrepreneurs to generate new ideas, and to tie theoretical studies at the university with practical implementation to the maximum possible extent. She also introduced the latest summer camp program, and welcomed students to take part in it.
Both sides expressed that they desired to conduct further cooperation in the fields of students and teachers exchange, summer camp programs, and research cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to the history museum of USTB.
