USTB President Zhang Xinxin Participateed in Sixth Round of Sino-U.S. Cultural Exchange
From June 22 to 26, 2015, President Zhang Xinxin visited the U.S. to attend the Sixth Round of Sino-U.S. Cultural Exchange. On June 23 he met with his counterparts at the Weill Cornell Medical College and both parties formally signed an agreed to jointly found a medical school in Beijing. At the conference President Zhang formally presented on the agreement for the assembled audience. The agreement between USTB and WCMC was listed among the other programs presented at the Cultural Exchange.
On June 23 President Zhang attended a meeting with representatives from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to discuss the cooperation between Chinese and U.S. universities, as well as the rewarding of thousands of scholarships to black students. President Zhang gave a short presentation on the history of USTB and expressed his hope that more African-American students would consider coming to study at USTB in the future.
On June 24 President Zhang attended the Sixth Round of China-US High-level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange.
