National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology Delegation Visits USTB

 On the morning of May 10, a five-member delegation headed by Huang Yijun, Director of the International Division of On the morning of May 10th, a five-member delegation headed by Huang Yijun, Director of the International Division of Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST) visited USTB. Deputy Director Li Bei of USTB International Office hosted the guests.

Li Bei welcomed the arrival of Director Huang Yijun. She briefed the delegations briefly on the current situation of USTB’s development, and introduced the strategic program of the university’s “two-class” discipline construction. She then discussed the ongoing development strategy, and the prospects for the future cooperation between the two universities.

Director Huang introduced the basic situation of NKUST. He pointed out that since the merger of Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences and National Kaohsiung Marine University in February 2018, the number of students has grown to 27,000. He expressed his hope to expand the scale of student exchanges with USTB. At the same time, Director Huang looked to be able to conduct teacher exchanges and conduct joint scientific research projects on a regular basis.

Afterwards, the NKUST went to Jitong College and School of Management for another meeting.

The visiting officials also included Wang Jingwen, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering of Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Director Lin Liqian of the Department of Operational Management, Director of the International Division Wang Zhiqiang and Assistant of Xu Peiyu. The teachers of USTB who participated in the exchange included the Deputy Dean of Jitong College, Ning Huansheng, Prof. Zhang Haijun of the Department of Communications, and Associate Professor Wang Long of the Department of Computer Science; Yan Xiangbin, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Zhao Xia, and Director of Management Science and Engineering Li Tieke.
