USTB Open Day for TUT a Hit

On Oct. 18^th and 19^th, 2012, USTB hosted its Open Day for TUT, the Tallinn University of Technology, to deepen the existing collaboration between USTB and TUT and to explore new ways of cooperation.

The workshop was hosted in the form of lectures given by TUT professors, covering such topics as internet security, social network service and design research. Approximately100studentsfromtheSchool of computer Science and Communication Engineering signed up for the lectures.

Students that attended the lectures received a certificate issued by TUT, together with credits given by USTB validating this academic experience. The activity was seen as an integral part of the training portion of the Bachelor’s Degree requirements at USTB, requirements which have pioneered new ways of encouraging students to engage in international activities.

Other approaches to achieve cooperation were also under discussion between project managers in charge of the international exchange programs of both schools, with both sides hoping to foster future collaboration and communication.
