Vice-Chancellor Dai gave the opening remarks. He began by welcoming the delegation from Ling Tung University, and noted that since the two schools had first signed their cooperative agreement, they have engaged in several joint-projects. In addition he introduced the delegation to the representatives of USTB’s trade unions, expressing his hope in USTB strengthening future ties with Ling Tung and Taiwan’s trade unions.

 

Vice-President Wang then presented on the current situation at USTB and its intercollegiate programs, including its work with Ling Tung University and other Taiwanese universities. She discussed how USTB attaches great importance to its collaboration between Chinese and Taiwanese schools, every year carrying out joint research projects and academic exchanges. She expressed her wish that USTB and Ling Tung would continue strengthening their mutual relationship and continue engaging in future exchanges.

 

In his remarks, Vice-Chancellor Chen spoke of the importance of his university’s collaboration with USTB, and reminisced about how he had previously led a delegation in 2011 to USTB to attend a cross-strait forum being hosted here. Among Ling Tung’s advantages are its programs in management and design, a part of its EMBA program, and Chen expressed his desire that his school and USTB would strengthen their academic exchanges.

 

   

 

During the meeting Vice-President Wang and Vice-Chancellor Chen signed an intercollegiate cooperative agreement between the two schools.

 

Afterwards the USTB trade union official met with the Ling Tung delegates to discuss the particular work they were engaged in. After the talks the delegation visited Dongling School of Economics and Management and discussed their EMBA program as well as other issues.
