President of Auburn University at Montgomery Visits USTB

On Sept. 17th, a delegation led by Prof. John Veres, President of Auburn University at Montgomery paid a visit to USTB. Prof. Zhang Xinxin, President of USTB and Prof. Wang Ge, Director of the International Office of USTB met with the delegation.

President Zhang welcomed the delegation and briefed them on the disciplines studied by USTB. According to President Zhang, USTB attaches a great importance to cooperation and exchange with foreign universities, research institutions and multinational corporations. He hoped that while maintaining acooperative relationship in economics and management, the two universities could extend their cooperation to other disciplines and fields, such as network security.Prof. Zhang also hoped topromote the development of exchange programs for students and scholars.

Prof.Veres expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of USTB. He said that Auburn University at Montgomery was grateful to USTB for the excellent students exchanged to their school. He hoped that the renovated stadiums and dormitories and the newly introduced majors would attract more international students, those from China in particular, to study at their university. With more potential cooperative efforts to explore, President Veres expected to send more American students to study at USTB to experience Chinese culture and further promote exchange between teachers from the two schools.

After the meeting, President Veres visited the history museum of USTB with the delegation and was deeply impressed by USTB’s development.
