Program Description

Duration of Study: July 8, 2013—August 2, 2013 (4 weeks)

You may also choose to study 1, 2 or 3 weeks.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2013

Admission Requirements: Any educational background is acceptable.

The class will begin when more than 20 students apply.

Syllabus

1. Chinese Language Classes

Time: 8:00-11:35am                         

Course: Listening, Oral Chinese

A placement test will be held in the first class. You will get a certificate and transcript after the course is completed.

2. Chinese Culture Classes

Two culture classes will be held from 3pm-4:30pm every week on Tuesday and Thursday. (Culture classes include hanfu, Chinese calligraphy, tea, taichi and Chinese Knots, etc.)

3. Chinese Culture Tours

1- week course: The Great Wall—Lunch

2- week course: The Great Wall—Lunch, 798

3- week course: The Great Wall—Lunch, 798,  The Summer Place

4- week course: The Great Wall—Lunch, 798, The Summer Place,

The Palace Museum—Lunch—Nan Luo Gu Xiang

Fees:

Tuition fees:  1000 RMB for 1 week

1900 RMB for 2 weeks

2700 RMB for 3 weeks

3350RMB for 4 weeks

(Books and the cost of Chinese culture tours are included).

Application fees: 160 RMB

Accommodation: 60 RMB/day/person  

Two students will share a standard room with a separate toilet and bathroom, 24-hour hot water and TV.

Documents Required for Application

1. Academic diploma: a copy of the applicant's latest academic diploma or certificate of education.

2. A photocopy of the applicant's passport.
